Storm and hail damage
Insurance claim help for a damaged roof
A free inspection, drone photographs of the damage and the details you need to file with your own insurance agent.
Chapter 01
What we do before you file
Storm damage starts with a free inspection. Our employees are trained to recognize and assess roof damage, and to determine whether it would be eligible for an insurance claim, so you know where you stand before you pick up the phone to your insurer. There is no charge for that first look.
We document what we find with high-resolution drone photographs, then give you the damage documentation and details you need to file your claim with your own insurance company. We guide you through each step and answer your questions along the way, from the first phone call to the finished roof.

The coverage decision belongs to your insurer
We assess the roof and document the damage. Your insurance agent and the adjuster decide what your policy covers. That split is the reason the paperwork matters: the adjuster is assigned to your claim, schedules a time to inspect and assess the damage, and after that inspection the agent or adjuster determines whether your policy covers it.
Clear photographs and a written estimate that show the damage plainly give that inspection something concrete to check. You do not have to be the person who knows insurance. Ask us any question along the way, and we answer it from experience. Whatever the adjuster decides, we talk through the result with you and lay out the options that follow.
Chapter 03
Why insurers already know Foster
Insurance agencies use preferred vendor programs to partner with Foster Roofing on roof damage assessments and estimates. Agents know the assessment and the estimate will be done correctly, so they often refer their customers directly to us, and we are a preferred contractor for most major insurance carriers.
The people doing the assessing have worked on the insurance side. Jazz Hallman was an independent adjuster for six years and handled claims across the country for several carriers before joining Foster Roofing in 2020. Todd Patterson spent 10 years as an estimator, claims specialist and property claims adjuster and has been with Foster Roofing since 2015. Hayden Harvey worked in the insurance industry before joining the team.
If the claim does not cover the roof
A claim is not always approved, and some roofs are past the point where a repair would hold. If your insurance does not cover the replacement, we accept cash, check and credit cards, and we offer financing with approved credit through Wells Fargo. Our free estimate tells you what the new roof involves either way.
A 3% processing fee applies to any card transaction. The cost of a new roof can seem overwhelming at first, and financing lets you reduce the initial investment and move forward with the project. The free inspection and the free estimate stay free either way.
Foster Roofing is a preferred contractor for most major insurance carriers and holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau in both Springdale and Fort Smith.
How a claim moves
Three steps between the storm and the decision
- Contact your insurance agent. They help you file the claim.
- Once the claim is started, an adjuster is assigned and reaches out to schedule a time to inspect and assess the damage.
- After the inspection, your agent or adjuster determines whether the damage is covered by your policy.
Once you know what the claim covers, see what a roof repair or a roof replacement involves, or read the questions homeowners ask us first.
From a Google review
“Working with Jazz and everyone at Foster was great! They responded quickly, were highly responsive. Before ever even agreeing to work with them, Jazz noted that our insurance claim had not reflected the correct tile-grade, and he immediately reached out personally to the adjuster to correct this (again, before I had agreed to work with Foster). This is above-and-beyond service, in my opinion. Roof was done quickly and cleaned up entirely. Thank you, Foster Roofing!”
