Our superintendents visit home developments daily to be proactive on scheduling for roof installations. On a new build the roof sits between framing and every trade that follows it, so a crew that arrives a day late holds up the work behind it. Watching the lots every day is how we know when a house is ready and when to put a crew on it.
Foster Roofing has partnered with builders across Arkansas for more than 30 years, working out of two offices: Springdale for Northwest Arkansas and Fort Smith for the River Valley. Job superintendent Guadalupe Olivera coordinates material returns, punch lists and final inspections on our new construction jobs, the closing tasks that decide whether a home is really finished.
Alex Hall, another job superintendent, studied construction management at Northwest Arkansas Community College and spends most of his days looking at new construction houses. That daily attention to the lots is what keeps a roof date from drifting. Builders in either region can call the office nearest them to ask who is watching their development: Springdale for Northwest Arkansas, Fort Smith for the River Valley.

Choosing the roofing material with the builder
We know the materials on the market: asphalt shingles, metal roofing, tile and more. We guide the builder toward the one that suits the climate, the local building codes and the look the house is meant to have. Your sales rep works through the options with you and with the homeowner, and we can present several to both.
Hail is a real risk in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley, and some asphalt shingles are hail impact rated. When a builder or a homeowner asks for them, they can be installed. Metal roofing has long covered commercial and industrial buildings and now goes on homes too, and specialty systems such as clay tile, slate and stone coated steel are there when the design calls for them.
The roof is one of the most visible parts of a new house, so we match its design to the rest of the exterior. A roof that suits the house adds to its curb appeal and to the market value a buyer sees. Curb appeal is part of what a builder is selling, and the roof covers a large share of what a buyer sees from the street.

What a builder receives from a Foster crew
Our crews are trained to install precisely, and a well-installed roof keeps water out, holds up structurally and helps the house stay energy efficient. It also heads off leaks, mold growth and early wear, the problems that otherwise come back to the builder as a service call.
Each job has on-site supervision and daily progress checks from a superintendent, and the estimate a builder receives at the start is written for the roof in front of us. Our relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and other construction professionals may also lead to savings on materials and services.
After the keys are handed over
A well-installed roof prevents the trouble that shows up after move-in: water getting in, structural damage and wasted energy. Fewer calls from homeowners after a home is finished is what a good installation buys a builder, and it is the result we work toward on every roof.
